With this blog I aim to share my interest and passion for photography and history. My hope is to tell the back story or a nugget of history about what I frame in the viewfinder. Much of the work will be centered around what I discover in my hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts, and in Boston, but it all depends where I find myself.
I have more than 25 years of sports journalism experience, having written for, edited, and designed sports sections for award-winning mid-sized daily newspapers in northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. I am also the author of Dem Little Bums: The Nashua Dodgers, a critically acclaimed history of the groundbreaking minor-league baseball team and its vital role in the integration of baseball. I hope to publish my new book, Granite State Boys of Summer, a compendium of New Hampshire major leaguers, in spring 2015.
